Christmas Picnic
Every year at the start of December the senior committee organise a picnic to celebrate the year as well as Christmas. There is also a special appearance from Santa Claus that gives the children lollies and presents! I Girasoli have organised many activities including spaghetti eating competition, running races and face painting. Everyone comes along with their picnic baskets, puts down their blanket and while some are playing bocce, the kids are on the jumping castle or running around with a soccer ball, while others just enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.
2006
Another day full of activities and fun! The Toscana Club Annual Picnic was again held at La Trobe University. Santa made a special visit to all the kids while they enjoyed their face paining, spaghetti eating competition and running races. 2005
The Christmas Picnic this year was held at LaTrobe University Football Oval. I Girasoli face painted the kids (and adults!) faces with pretty pictures and lovely colours. They also had races for the children where most received ribbons.
