Italian Language and Culture Course - Siena

January 2010

The Region of Tuscany annually provides young descendants of Tuscan migrants with the opportunity to study the Italian language in Italy. The region is offering a 4 week language and culture course to be held in January 2010 in Toscana.

Past courses have been held in the towns of Siena & Viareggio.

During the course all tuition fees, accommodation and meals will be paid by the Region. The Region will also reimburse the participants with 50% of their return airfare between Australia & Italy.

Prerequisites:

To be eligible for the course participants must:
• be of Tuscan origin,
• be aged between 18 & 30 years on the commencement date of the course,
• have a basic understanding of the Italian language.
• You have not taken part in any courses offered by La Regione in the past 5 years

Priority will be given to students that have never participated in a course offered by the Region however, only in the case where there are free spots will the region consider applications from those who have already attended a course.

I Girasoli will prefer they send people that have been involved in the club and have attended functions or have leant a helping hand with the committee and organisation of functions. Priority will be given to these applicants.

The Region are now looking for expressions of interest for the next course to be held in January 2009.
